sōl helix
The nature of all things is to grow in helix, from the smallest structure of our DNA to the way our total body unfurls when we are born.
The movement in this heating flow is informed by and supports the integrity of our natural formation for strength, tone and fluid agility of the mind and body.
Suitable for students comfortable practicing open level and beyond. Modifications and variations given depending on the student progress.

sōl service
This distinct, all levels flow-class begins with contemplation, live chants in the ancestrral languages of faith (Latin, Aramaic, Sanskrit) and abounds with a sense of sacred renewal. Throughout the flow, you are lovingly guided:
-
to cleanse the body of toxins (Tapas)
-
to become a bearer of truth (Satya)
-
to offer of kindness (Ahimsa)
-
to surrender the heart-mind to the Highest Love (Isvara-Pranidhana)
"Do you not know that your body is a temple ..." (Cor 6:19)

Your instructor progressively introduces dynamic and challenging poses while modifications are given depending on your level.

Warning, clients may experience serious results like:
-
back pain relief
-
increased hip and shoulder mobility
-
more energy for the day ahead
-
mental clarity and increased focus
-
stress relief

yin
A sweet slow flow and deep stretch, yin is about finding the balance between supple and strength in our bodies and translating that into a transformation in how we meet our lives off the mat.
Suitable for all levels.

restoratives
A meditative form of yoga, this class offers a serene rejuvenating experience. Full inhales and long exhales set the current for extended rests in prop-supported gentle poses.
This process allows the body to surrender to the way in which each posture can reduce stress, passively release tension and nourish the parasympathetic nervous system.
Our Restoratives yoga, complete with calming music, guided contemplation and simple silence, nurtures profound restoration and healing.

FAQ
Who can practice yoga?
Anyone!
Yoga comes in all forms and, as our founder loves to say, "Yoga was made for the body, not the other way around." We offer Foundations and Level 1 practices to help beginners find their way. We also share gentle practices and slower flows (Embodied Yin, Sunrise Sol Flow, Restoratives) for those who are looking for mindful moves with a little less sweat. It's a great idea to meet with one of our instructors to help you discover what feels right for your body, mind and spirit. Our studio offers classes for every level and a path for every goal.
Do I need my own yoga mat?
Yes. It is ideal to bring your own mat. However, we do offer mats for those visiting or just beginning their yoga practice.
What do I wear?
We suggest comfortable clothing that allows for a full range of motion. Avoid overly loose garments that might interfere with your practice or any items that may shift to expose private areas during practice.
Should I bring anything else?
We encourage you to bring a bottle of water; however, we do have a Berkey water filter and offer complimentary cups of warm Chai or Detox Tea (please ask the front desk which is brewing and how to dispense). If you tend to sweat a lot during workouts, we recommend you bring a hand towel or yoga towel to support your grip. And yes, you may wear grip socks.
We also encourage you to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to class, 10-15 minutes prior if it's your first time practicing with us.
How often is it recommended that I practice yoga?
We suggest 3 or more times per week to form a progression in your practice. If you only have 10 minutes one day, enjoy a simple Sun Salutation flow or sit in quiet meditation. Yoga goes beyond the mat and when you commit to even bite-sized practices on days that you can't make it to the studio you will experience the difference yoga makes.
I'm not flexible. Can I still practice yoga?
Yoga makes you flexible enough to practice yoga. Yoga also makes you strong enough to practice yoga (hint* : yoga isn't just stretching). So, come as you are. We love to help those who feel uncertain about their place on the mat discover their confidence, strength and flexibility in mindful movement.
Do you have showers?
No, we do not have shower facilities at the studio. We do have one changing room, one restroom and cubbies for all of our clients to store their belongings during practice.
How do I book a class?
You can reserve your space on the mat directly on our website by clicking any BOOK NOW link beneath a class description.

We are in a complex of 2 white + black buildings and our yoga shala is perfectly set between Stretch Zone & xform30A. The lot is open to all clients of the plaza.
